gmecataloger: Game music cataloger

Creates a database catalog of melodies of various NSF, GBS and SPC compositions.

It is under testing & refinement phase currently. It is expected that this phase never ends, because perfect results are impossible to achieve.

The ultimate purpose of this is to create a database for another project I'm planning on — a music search that searches from game musics.

Design issues:

• How to make tricky melodies (such as Super Mario Land) searchable? Nobody is going to remember where it does those covert tones.
• How to make accompanied melodies (such as most of Pokémon Blue themes) searchable?

gmecataloger has been written by Joel Yliluoma, a.k.a. Bisqwit,
and is distributed under the terms of the General Public License (GPL).
The Game Music Emu code (slightly modified) embedded within is licensed under LGPL and can be found at Blargg's site.

Downloading help

• Do not download everything - you only need one file (newest version for your platform)!
